# CVE-2021-22175: GitLab Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) Vulnerability

**Signal:** Exploited: patch now if you run it. CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild. (Computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS; not an editorial verdict.)

## Should you act?

- Yes, if you run GitLab GitLab. CISA added this CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-02-18, which means there is reliable evidence of exploitation in the wild. US federal agencies must remediate by 2026-03-11 ; treat that as the outer limit, not the target.
- EPSS 53.4% , percentile 99: FIRST’s model estimates a 53.4% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 99% of all scored CVEs (very high). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
- Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.

## What it is

When requests to the internal network for webhooks are enabled, a server-side request forgery vulnerability in GitLab affecting all versions starting from 10.5 was possible to exploit for an unauthenticated attacker even on a GitLab instance where registration is disabled

## Affected products (CVE record)

- GitLab GitLab: >=10.5, <13.6.7, >=13.7, <13.7.7, >=13.8, <13.8.4

## Severity

- GitLab CVSS 3.1: 6.8 `CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N`

## Exploitation

- CISA KEV: added 2026-02-18; federal due date 2026-03-11. Known ransomware use: Unknown.
- CISA required action: Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
- CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation active , automatable no , technical impact total .
- FIRST EPSS (model of 2026-10-21): 53.37% probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days; percentile 99.
