Should you act?

Exploited: patch now if you run it

CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild. This signal is computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS data; it is not an editorial verdict.

  • Yes, if you run Array Networks AG/vxAG ArrayOS. CISA added this CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2024-11-25, which means there is reliable evidence of exploitation in the wild. US federal agencies must remediate by 2024-12-16; treat that as the outer limit, not the target. CISA also lists it as known to be used in ransomware campaigns.
  • EPSS 68.1%, percentile 99: FIRST’s model estimates a 68.1% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 99% of all scored CVEs (very high). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
  • Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.

What it is

Array Networks Array AG Series and vxAG (9.4.0.481 and earlier) allow remote code execution. An attacker can browse the filesystem on the SSL VPN gateway using a flags attribute in an HTTP header without authentication. The product could then be exploited through a vulnerable URL. The 2023-03-09 vendor advisory stated "a new Array AG release with the fix will be available soon."

CISA’s summary

Array Networks AG and vxAG ArrayOS contain a missing authentication for critical function vulnerability that allows an attacker to read local files and execute code on the SSL VPN gateway.
