CVSS 9.6 Critical EPSS 0.8% · p57

Should you act?

Critical, preconditions apply

Severe if exploited, but exploitation needs conditions that may not apply to you. This signal is computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS data; it is not an editorial verdict.

  • No confirmed exploitation. It is not in CISA’s KEV catalog and CISA’s SSVC assessment records no known exploitation. That can change quickly after a public write-up; re-check if you are affected.
  • EPSS 0.8%, percentile 57: FIRST’s model estimates a 0.8% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 57% of all scored CVEs (moderate). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
  • Needs an account (low (any account)). Exposure depends on who can log in.
  • Only applies if your dependency tree includes apache-superset (PyPI) < 3.0.3, fixed in 3.0.3. Check your lockfile, including transitive dependencies.

What it is

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Apache Superset before 3.0.3. An authenticated attacker with create/update permissions on charts or dashboards could store a script or add a specific HTML snippet that would act as a stored XSS. For 2.X versions, users should change their config to include: TALISMANCONFIG = { "contentsecuritypolicy": { "base-uri": ["'self'"], "default-src": ["'self'"], "img-src": ["'self'", "blob:", "data:"], "worker-src": ["'self'", "blob:"], "connect-src": [ "'self'", " https://api.mapbox.com" https://api.mapbox.com" ;, " https://events.mapbox.com" https://events.mapbox.com" ;, ], "object-src": "'none'", "style-src": [ "'self'", "'unsafe-inline'", ], "script-src": ["'self'", "'strict-dynamic'"], }, "contentsecuritypolicynoncein": ["script-src"], "forcehttps": False, "sessioncookiesecure": False, }
