Should you act?

Exploited: patch now if you run it

CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild. This signal is computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS data; it is not an editorial verdict.

  • Yes, if you run GeoVision Multiple Devices. CISA added this CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2025-05-07, which means there is reliable evidence of exploitation in the wild. US federal agencies must remediate by 2025-05-28; treat that as the outer limit, not the target.
  • EPSS 28.4%, percentile 98: FIRST’s model estimates a 28.4% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 98% of all scored CVEs (very high). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
  • Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.

What it is

Certain EOL GeoVision devices have an OS Command Injection vulnerability. Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability to inject and execute arbitrary system commands on the device. Moreover, this vulnerability has already been exploited by attackers, and we have received related reports.

CISA’s summary

Multiple GeoVision devices contain an OS command injection vulnerability that allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to inject and execute arbitrary system commands. The impacted products could be end-of-life (EoL) and/or end-of-service (EoS). Users should discontinue product utilization.
