# CVE-2025-54068: Laravel Livewire Code Injection Vulnerability

**Signal:** Exploited: patch now if you run it. CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild. (Computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS; not an editorial verdict.)

## Should you act?

- Yes, if you run Laravel Livewire. CISA added this CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-03-20, which means there is reliable evidence of exploitation in the wild. US federal agencies must remediate by 2026-04-03 ; treat that as the outer limit, not the target.
- EPSS 96.3% , percentile 99.9: FIRST’s model estimates a 96.3% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 99.9% of all scored CVEs (very high). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
- Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.
- Only applies if your dependency tree includes livewire/livewire (Composer (PHP)) >= 3.0.0-beta.1, < 3.6.4, fixed in 3.6.4 . Check your lockfile, including transitive dependencies.

## What it is

Livewire is a full-stack framework for Laravel. In Livewire v3 up to and including v3.6.3, a vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to achieve remote command execution in specific scenarios. The issue stems from how certain component property updates are hydrated. This vulnerability is unique to Livewire v3 and does not affect prior major versions. Exploitation requires a component to be mounted and configured in a particular way, but does not require authentication or user interaction. This issue has been patched in Livewire v3.6.4. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this version or later as soon as possible. No known workarounds are available.

## Affected packages

- Composer (PHP) `livewire/livewire` >= 3.0.0-beta.1, < 3.6.4 → fixed: 3.6.4

## Affected products (CVE record)

- livewire livewire: >= 3.0.0-beta.1, < 3.6.4

## Severity

- GitHub_M CVSS 4.0: 9.2 `CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N`
- GitHub CVSS 4.0: 9.2 `CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N`

## Exploitation

- CISA KEV: added 2026-03-20; federal due date 2026-04-03. Known ransomware use: Unknown.
- CISA required action: Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
- CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation active , automatable no , technical impact total .
- FIRST EPSS (model of 2026-10-21): 96.28% probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days; percentile 99.9.
