# CVE-2025-67494: ZITADEL Vulnerable to Unauthenticated Full-Read SSRF via V2 Login

**Signal:** Critical and remotely reachable. No known exploitation yet, but it is network-reachable without credentials. (Computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS; not an editorial verdict.)

## Should you act?

- No confirmed exploitation. It is not in CISA’s KEV catalog and CISA’s SSVC assessment records no known exploitation. That can change quickly after a public write-up; re-check if you are affected.
- EPSS 0.4% , percentile 37: FIRST’s model estimates a 0.4% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 37% of all scored CVEs (low). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
- Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.
- Only applies if your dependency tree includes github.com/zitadel/zitadel (Go) < 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251208091519-4c879b47334e, fixed in 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251208091519-4c879b47334e ; github.com/zitadel/zitadel (Go) >= 1.83.4, <= 1.87.5, no fixed version listed ; github.com/zitadel/zitadel (Go) >= 4.0.0-rc.1, < 4.7.1, fixed in 4.7.1 ; github.com/zitadel/zitadel/v2 (Go) < 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251208091519-4c879b47334e, fixed in 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251208091519-4c879b47334e . Check your lockfile, including transitive dependencies.

## What it is

ZITADEL is an open-source identity infrastructure tool. Versions 4.7.0 and below are vulnerable to an unauthenticated, full-read SSRF vulnerability. The ZITADEL Login UI (V2) treats the x-zitadel-forward-host header as a trusted fallback for all deployments, including self-hosted instances. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to force the server to make HTTP requests to arbitrary domains, such as internal addresses, and read the responses, enabling data exfiltration and bypassing network-segmentation controls. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.1.
