# CVE-2026-3502: TrueConf Client Download of Code Without Integrity Check Vulnerability

**Signal:** Exploited: patch now if you run it. CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild. (Computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS; not an editorial verdict.)

## Should you act?

- Yes, if you run TrueConf Client. CISA added this CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-04-02, which means there is reliable evidence of exploitation in the wild. US federal agencies must remediate by 2026-04-16 ; treat that as the outer limit, not the target.
- EPSS 0.3% , percentile 25: FIRST’s model estimates a 0.3% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 25% of all scored CVEs (low). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
- Needs an account (high (admin)). Exposure depends on who can log in.

## What it is

TrueConf Client downloads application update code and applies it without performing verification. An attacker who is able to influence the update delivery path can substitute a tampered update payload. If the payload is executed or installed by the updater, this may result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the updating process or user.

## Affected products (CVE record)

- TrueConf TrueConf Client: TrueConf Client versions 8.1.0 through 8.5.2

## Severity

- checkpoint CVSS 3.1: 7.8 `CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:L`

## Exploitation

- CISA KEV: added 2026-04-02; federal due date 2026-04-16. Known ransomware use: Unknown.
- CISA required action: Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
- CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation active , automatable no , technical impact total .
- FIRST EPSS (model of 2026-10-21): 0.33% probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days; percentile 25.
