# CVE-2026-76969: @sap/cds-mtx: Credential disclosure in multitenant applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)

**Signal:** Critical and remotely reachable. No known exploitation yet, but it is network-reachable without credentials. (Computed from CISA KEV, EPSS and CVSS; not an editorial verdict.)

## Should you act?

- No confirmed exploitation. It is not in CISA’s KEV catalog and CISA’s SSVC assessment records no known exploitation. That can change quickly after a public write-up; re-check if you are affected.
- EPSS 0.4% , percentile 37: FIRST’s model estimates a 0.4% chance of exploitation activity in the next 30 days, higher than 37% of all scored CVEs (low). EPSS is a probability, not a verdict.
- Remotely reachable with no login and no user interaction. If the vulnerable service is exposed to the internet, prioritize it.
- Only applies if your dependency tree includes @sap/cds-mtxs (npm) >= 4.0.1, < 4.0.3, fixed in 4.0.3 ; @sap/cds-mtxs (npm) >= 3.0.1, < 3.9.7, fixed in 3.9.7 ; @sap/cds-mtxs (npm) >= 2.0.2, < 2.7.7, fixed in 2.7.7 ; @sap/cds-mtxs (npm) < 1.18.4, fixed in 1.18.4 . Check your lockfile, including transitive dependencies.

## What it is

@sap/cds-mtxs NPM library does not perform sufficient checks on certain functionality used in multitenant CAP applications with extensibility enabled. An unauthenticated attacker could send specially crafted requests to obtain sensitive credentials and abuse them to replace or delete tenant data. Successful exploitation can result in a high impact on availability and integrity of the application. There may also be partial impact to the confidentiality of business data.

## Affected packages

- npm `@sap/cds-mtxs` >= 4.0.1, < 4.0.3 → fixed: 4.0.3
- npm `@sap/cds-mtxs` >= 3.0.1, < 3.9.7 → fixed: 3.9.7
- npm `@sap/cds-mtxs` >= 2.0.2, < 2.7.7 → fixed: 2.7.7
- npm `@sap/cds-mtxs` < 1.18.4 → fixed: 1.18.4

## Affected products (CVE record)

- SAP_SE SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP): @sap/cds-mtxs <=1.18.3, <=2.7.6, <=3.9.6, <=4.0.2

## Severity

- sap CVSS 3.1: 9.4 `CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H`
- GitHub CVSS 3.1: 9.4 `CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H`

## Exploitation

- CISA KEV: not listed (no confirmed in-the-wild exploitation known to CISA).
- CISA SSVC assessment: exploitation none , automatable yes , technical impact partial .
- FIRST EPSS (model of 2026-10-21): 0.44% probability of exploitation activity in the next 30 days; percentile 37.
